This website was created by a group of high school students at the NYC iSchool in New York. We are taking a class at school about hydrofracking and whether or not it should be permitted. We have reviewed both the pros and cons of hydrofracking, and have come to the conclusion that it should not be permitted-at least until further studies are done by the EPA and they determine a safe way to obtain natural gas. Our class is working on a campaign, spreading the word about hydrofracking and why we feel very strongly that it should not be permitted. We created this website, a Tumblr Blog, Facebook Page, and YouTube Page (links to these pages can be found on the top right corner of the site). We also recorded a song and a radio play about hydrofracking, as well as a video. In addition to all that, members of our team visited government officials to discuss the topic of hydrofracking. We truly hope that our campaign, along with others, will make a difference!

We want to apologize for the fact that due to school work, we will not be updating the website as frequently this school year. We will try to update as often as possible and when we hear about really big news to share with you. We hope you find the information and news helpful and/or informative.
URGENT!!! 9 DAYS LEFT* TO VOICE YOUR OPINION!! The Spectra pipeline is a proposed pipeline that would deliver natural gas from Upstate NY and PA to New York City stoves. If the pipe fails, there is a possibility of an explosion in Manhattan. The pipeline also brings the risk of numerous toxins, carcinogens, and green house gasses in NYC!
What can you do to prevent this? Voice your opinion. Click here to be sent to an online petition. NINE DAYS LEFT*
(Thank you to the Sane Energy Project for sharing this information with Think Before You Frack.)
